We are monitoring seasonal changes in 12 tree species in Washington Square Park. The WSP Phenology Project was launched in September 2019. The goals of the project are: to develop baseline information and produce long-term information about plant phenophases in the park, to contribute to regional and national phenology databases and studies, and to provide community science and environmental learning opportunities.
You can learn more about the trees and their phenophases in the Washington Square Park Phenology Project StoryMap.
Explore the trees using this Phenology Trail Map (Google Map).
