Welcome to the award-winning Washington Square Park Phenology project. We monitor seasonal changes in 16 species of woody plants in Washington Square Park. The project was launched in 2019. Our goals are to develop baseline information and produce long-term information about plant phenophases in the park, to contribute to regional and national phenology databases and studies, and to provide community science and environmental learning opportunities.
