We create programs to help visitors to Washington Square Park enjoy and learn about the trees, birds, and wildlife around them.

Your donation pays for program design and delivery including materials. For example, we host seasonal tree outings in the park. Your donation pays for planning, guides fees, and materials like hand lenses and printed zines.

• Take a plant walk and upload your observations to the Washington Square Park Plant page on iNaturalist
• Go birding and submit your checklist to eBird
• Take photos of birds in the park on iNaturalist and they’ll automatically be added to the Washington Square Park Wildlife page
• Volunteer to monitor a tree on the Washington Square Park Phenology trail
