We monitor plant phenology in Washington Square Park. We observe and record seasonal changes. The project will produce long-term information about plant phenophases in the park, will contribute to the National Phenology Network (NPN) database, and will provide environmental learning opportunities.

We use Nature’s Notebook, a community science data collection program (website and app) designed by the National Phenology Network, to record phenophase information about plants, specifically trees, in Washington Square Park.
