WSP Eco Map is a mobile map of the trees in Washington Square Park. The map includes a layer showing the historic aboveground flow and contemporary sewerized route of Minetta Brook. The map was funded through donations on the ioby.org platform.
The mobile map was designed by GIS and web developer Casey Brown. The tree data is derived from historic and contemporary tree surveys of Washington Square Park commissioned by the NYC Parks and Recreation Department. Paper maps were copied from the map archives at the Olmsted Center in Flushing. The interactive Minetta Brook layer is from the work of Steve Duncan at undercity.org.
